Visible-Invisible is the theme of our current issue. The visible and invisible in psychoanalysis. The erasure of knowledge and/or consumption of fake knowledge. The many facets of belonging/not belonging. The unrepresented. The ones who we see and the ones who we don’t. Inclusion and exclusion. Reflections on race, gender, class and/or disability. The return of the repressed. Analytic listening. The invisible in the arts. Psychoanalysis and discovery.

Our contributors engaged with those topics, while we faced, once more, collective ruptures and turmoil. How can one hold a space for dialogue at times in which thinking cannot be held? How can we engage with this constant tension between visible/invisible, what we know and what is unknown? In times when life is held by a thread, and respite feels unattainable, we are left with the difficult task to attend, contend with, and find ways to embrace the horrors and possibilities inherent to our fragile human existence. Here is our invitation once more to the reader – let yourself be carried, be touched, be welcomed by our pages and their fleeing attempt at offering you something to see that unquestionably hides and uncover what cannot yet be seen and known.

On another note, we are excited to launch our new website, which will offer access to Critica’s archives and more. Our deepest appreciation for Elijah Allen, our graphic designer, who imagined our vision and made it real for our readers. Our Editorial Board is looking forward to joining the online world of interdisciplinary psychoanalytic publications!
