Call For Submissions

Critica is an inclusive publishing platform for reflection and conversation on issues relevant to psychoanalysis in the contemporary cultural, social, political, artistic, and scientific milieu. Critica invites submissions in a variety of formats, including papers, essays, reviews (books, films, music, and art), interviews, commentaries, poetry, photography, and visual art.

We welcome submissions:

Psychoanalytic Essays and Literary Art: essays, memoirs, papers, reviews in English, max 1500-2000 words; poetry and short stories in written, video, and/or mixed media formats

Reviews (books, film, music, and art), interviews, and commentaries

Visual Art: paintings and photographs

Our guidelines for submissions are: 

Visual Art – The images submitted should be at least 1700px by 1700px (pixels) and have sufficient light (not too dark or too bright). Please include a Word document with the following information: (1) your name, degree, address, and email for publication; (2) a short 2-3 sentence bio; and (3) the title, year, edition, and medium of the works to be reviewed.

Literary Art and Psychoanalytic Essays – Submissions should be submitted on a Word document with the following information: (1) your name, degree, address, and email for publication; (2) a short 2-3 sentence bio; (3) the works to be reviewed.
